Our Story

Red Door came together in 2010 under the leadership of Fred Hiatt, John Phillips, and the three partners from the accounting firm Cannon Wright Blount.

Cannon Wright Blount provided tax and accounting services, but what if they partnered with a new firm that specialized in financial planning and investment services? This simple idea would offer our clients the unique services they needed and create more problem-solving power under one roof. With plenty of planning, hard work, and client confidence, Red Door became a reality.

We founded our firm to meet the needs of small business owners and service professionals who wanted objective financial advice from a trusted partner. By providing comprehensive financial services in one location, we simplify our client’s financial lives, remove any financial burdens, and empower them to live a less stressful, more fulfilling life. 

Since 2010, we’ve become one of the fastest-growing registered investment advisor firms in the country. Gretchen Turley joined us in 2011 as Director of Client Relations, in 2015 we added Daniel Allen as our third wealth advisor, and Jayna came on board in 2016 as an administrative assistant.  We continue to plan a step ahead of our growth so we’re always prepared to serve our clients with the kind of trusting relationships we’re known for.
